Quality Hunters On the hunt for better travel! Looking for the best practical ideas to make air travel smoother for you, me and everybody else.

Workshop 4, day 2

Picture20

And that’s it for our fourth Quality Hunters workshop! Somehow the weekend has whizzed by and it’s already Sunday night here in Helsinki. It’s been a long day for our quality hunters (especially after a Saturday night out exploring local karaoke bars), but the creative performance we have witnessed today showed no signs of fatigue. Today we have seen a huge number of well thought out ideas carefully documented.

To kick off the day our hunters demonstrated the service ideas they came up with on Saturday with little theatre performances.

We continued our Sunday by looking into Saturday’s insight. We like to really delve into the passenger experience, identifying specific needs and passenger segments before we get creative.

Pretty soon our hunters were spotting the most potential improvement points on our insight-covered walls.

This is how we get our brainstorming on!

After an intensive brainstorming session it was time for our hunters to share their ideas. It was a looong discussion, since there just were so many!

Soon it was time for our favourite part of the day: building prototypes!

Our group of quality hunters clicked instantly and worked together really well. They came up with a huge number of fantastic ideas (and an obscene amount of Finn-related puns. Are you quite Finnished, guys?)

Thank you all!

Thank you all!

Once again, we got to spend a wonderful weekend with a wonderful group of people. It’s been a pleasure to meet each and every one of you, thank you for joining us in Helsinki!

See what we got up to on day 1 here.

Great to hear that you also had a good time and came up with an interesting number of suggestions. I’m sure we soon can experience some of it when arriving/departing to/from Helsinki Airport.

Wow, looks like you had a fab crew and they came up with great ideas!

Having a concierge on arrival? Very cool.

The app idea is totally something I’d love to see become a reality. It would guide me before even landing and would feel less confused or lost!

Great work everyone & thank you for sharing the experience with us ;)

As I’m just back from abroad I thought I’d share one thought that occurred to me on my trip. When landing in a new airport it would be great to be able to download an app as I was disembarking that gave me a comparison of transport options from the airport into town/my hotel. As most airports have wifi this would be possible for all smartphone passengers and they could quickly see the price and time differences for taxi/bus/train options. For instance sometimes it’s quicker to get the train than a taxi in peak hour. Also sometimes you have no idea what a taxi trip should cost and I find these vary significantly across countries. Great to see that all four workshops were full of ideas and fun – congrats on a great round of QH workshops!

It is an excellent idea to have such meeting for brainstorming ideas for better travel. Guys do you have any conclusion of your meetings? It would be interesting to read somewhere the list of fresh ideas and suggestions you got.

Hi Andrey! The ideas that come from our workshops go to Finnair and Helsinki Airport for further development. That’s why we don’t share details about the ideas we come up with. The ideas that go on to be realised will be very proudly publicised, like the Book Swap that was created by the QH community during season 2: https://www.finavia.fi/en/helsinki-airport/services/free-time/book-swap/
